Sebastian Vettel gets the fastest lap times in the Barcelona test.
Most of the teams are out testing their cars at the Circuit de Catalunya. F1 fans and punters might be a little over excited by the results but fans should take them with a grain of salt. The tests certainly are not a complete prelude to how the season and first race might turn out as teams will be trying different configurations and the drivers still have to get used to their new cars. Sebastian Vettel recorded the fastest lap times driving the RB8.
Romain Grosjean had to stop after 7 laps because team Lotus pulled him off the track for what appears to be a chassis problem. It is unknown how serious of a problem it was but to call off the test is serious enough.
Michael Schumacher set some of the fastest laps on the day testing out the new Mercedes car W03 which not only looks good but is a car Michael says will be better than last year with improved aerodynamics.
The circuit de Catalunya is just outside of Barcelona in a town called Montmelo.
These tests are extremely important for the drivers to get to know their cars as best as they can leading up to the first race of the season in Melbourne for the Australian Grand Prix.
