The Formula 1 season for 2020 kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Last season saw another predictable season with Lewis Hamilton winning yet again. It did get interesting with Max Verstappen scoring 3rd in points with the 2 Ferrari drivers of Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel following in 4th and 5th respectively. The controversy this year is in the Ferrari settlement with F1 regards to the Ferrari’s power-unit. Everyone is up in arms over the secret settlement which doesn’t look good for the sport at all. It may however imply that F1 is simply hoping for more competition as in the last 10 years, the sport has grown a little dull from the predictability in the dominance of Red Bull Racing with Sebastian Vettel winning 4 world championships in a row and Lewis Hamilton winning 5 of the last 6 titles with Nico Rosberg stealing one in between. The last 6 were all dominated by Mercedes. Just look at the last 20 years of racing of World Drivers championships on Wikipedia.
