Italian Grand Prix 2021

In an unlikely win in the season opener for Lewis Hamilton as he takes home the win for just the 3rd time in his career and the first season opener win since 2015. Hamilton and his Mercedes car narrowly beat out pole sitter Max Verstappen in extraordinary fashion as Verstappen and team Red Bulls superior pace were no match for Hamilton’s resilience and determination at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Hamilton was able to hold off the Dutchman’s challenge to take home his 96th GP win. This sets the tone for the seven time F1 champ to try and win an eighth season title. This one however won’t be a walk in the park as the Mercedes team leader found it difficult to keep the pace of his Redbull counterpart.

We will next get to see how Hamilton and his Redbull counterpart fare as the next stop of this young season is set for April 16-18 at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Getting you up to speed with everything F1 going into race number 2 on the schedule, the early favourite is Lewis Hamilton after his showing last month. Rookie driver Mick Schumacher will look to improve on his 16th place finish and get in the mix with the likes of Verstappen, Bottas, Norris and race winner Lewis Hamilton.

The second stop in the 2021 season surely will not disappoint if the first race was any indication of that. Will Hamilton continue his dominance in the gruelling 63 lap race at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola Italy? Hamilton holds the lap record of 1:15.484 he set in 2020. Surely he will look to improve on that while his opponents try to make a name for themselves in this early ‘21 season.

Be sure to get your bets in as it’s bound to be a very competitive race after the showing by team Red Bull in the opener of the season. Looks like Hamilton and Verstappen are going to battle it out all season long. Can the young Schumacher catapult his early career with an impressive follow up to his debut? Will we see Verstappens Red Bull team mate Pérez contend for the checkered flag?

It will go down on April 18th! Don’t miss a second of excitement.
